While differences in slope rating don't necessarily translate one to one in stroke differences, it's close.
My home course is rated at 123. Here, it's a full 10 points higher at 133.
In 5 rounds here, in the past 2 weeks, I've missed my handicap by more than 10 strokes on average.
Had a game scheduled today but a steady rain late yesterday and last night gave me the perfect excuse to wait until tomorrow. If I keep this pace my handicap index will be through the roof by the time the club championship rolls around.
