I've been a member of the USGA for quite a few years. Each year, with my membership renewal, the USGA includes a brochure on something about the game. This year it was about Course Etiquette and Tips. The next several posts will highlight what the USGA had to say. Today it's about Bunker Etiquette.
- After a bunker shot, be sure to smooth over your divot and any footprints you made
- Enter and exit the bunker on the low side in line with your ball
- Use the rake provided - it works a lot better than your shoes or club head
Common sense, huh? You'd be surprised. I've see golfers drop a second ball, swing, and exit the bunker ignoring all three bullet points.
Perhaps course marshals could help with education and/or removal from the course.
I'm interested in hearing what you have to say.
