Some time back, right here, I wrote about the ripple effect that would happen if the Wright Amendment were repealed. If you recall, the opening up of St. Louis and Kansas City for direct service from Dallas’ Love Field caused American to cut back or even discontinue service to several cities.
Well, the Quad-City International Airport (serving Western Illinois and Eastern Iowa) seeing what’s already happened, has come out in favor of keeping the Wright Amendment in place. They do not want to go the way of Green Bay, Toledo, and others.
Can't say that I blame them.
