Late yesterday, as my boss was leaving for the PhoCusWright Conference in Los Angeles, she asked if I was going to be around for a couple of days. I said yes and she then asked if I would fill in for her while she was gone.
Hmmmm, so I said yes and then she let everyone know that I was in charge until she returned on Thursday. As Homer would say, WooHoo!
I got to thinking about it on the way to the office today, you know, about being in charge. Being in charge used to be my regular job – one I had before morphing into an R&D type. Come to think of it, being in charge is a lot like being a Scud catcher. Regardless of the missle being fired, you get to take it for the team.
Is it Thursday yet?
