American Airlines and Continental Airlines (along with 4 others) recinded their recent fare increases of $10 and $20 each way based on mileage. Seem that Northwest Airlines would not match the increase - had the increases not been recinded, Northwest would have had a competitive advantage.
Not good news for the continued solvency of the airline industry.
