Went to two this past weekend in North Central Texas - Saturday to the Southlake Arts Festival and on Sunday to the Denton Arts and Jazz Festival. From the 'Arts' aspect, both were very different - Southlake caters to the "upscale population" and Denton to the Jazz lover. We really enjoyed both - especially Denton. We went with the Grandchildren and they had a wonderful play area - face painting, balloon blowing clowns, etc.
If you get the chance to see works by Justin Coopersmith who we met at the Southlake event, take it. We purchased one of his fire and ice pieces and it's wonderful. By the way, don't panic on the price referenced by this link. Ours was substantially less.
