Just finished reading Robert Scoble's post on executives and blogging. Can't say that I disagree with him but, how low in an organization should blogging actually go? My company's not yet ready for blogging and I can see why - aside from being pretty conservative, you should see some of the incredibly dumb stuff that winds up on message boards like Yahoo. Good grief, we complain about challenges with communicating strategies, what's going on, what's working and what's not and why.
Wait 12 to 24 hours and 'PRESTO' - it's there for everyone to see. What's really remarkable is that we've been cautioned that as a publically traded company, we really need to be careful what get said about strategies, etc.
Some still don't get it and I'm sure some of those never will.
